From the rhythmic beats of traditional Indian drums to the colourful movements of Bollywood dancers, the aromas of authentic Indian cuisine and the beauty of centuries-old cultural traditions, India is a country where every celebration tells a story.

On Saturday, 24th October 2026, the High Commission of India in Ghana presents the fourth edition of INDIA FEST, a cultural celebration at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Under the theme "A Celebration of Indian Culture," India Fest 2026 brings together the Indian community, Ghanaians, families, cultural enthusiasts and international visitors for an evening dedicated to experiencing India's extraordinary cultural diversity.

From richly flavoured dishes to traditional delicacies, the food experience introduces visitors to an important part of India's cultural identity.

THE INDIAN BAZAAR AND CULTURAL EXHIBITIONS

Beyond the stage, festival visitors can explore the Indian Bazaar, where cultural products, traditional crafts and other items reflect India's creative traditions.

The festival also features cultural exhibitions, handicrafts and displays by Indian businesses, providing opportunities to appreciate Indian art, craftsmanship and commercial creativity.

These experiences bring together traditional cultural expression and contemporary Indian enterprise.

CELEBRATING DIWALI AND THE SPIRIT OF TOGETHERNESS

India Fest 2026 also connects with the spirit of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, an important celebration symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.

The festival embraces these values through a message of friendship, hospitality, cultural appreciation and peaceful coexistence.

India Fest is also a celebration of the longstanding cultural friendship between India and Ghana.

Through food, music, arts and shared experiences, the festival strengthens connections between the Indian community and the wider Ghanaian public.

The gathering provides an opportunity for families, students, entrepreneurs, artists and cultural enthusiasts to interact, discover traditions and celebrate the beauty of cultural diversity.
