## About this event

A NEW CHAPTER. A FRESH EXPERIENCE. ONE UCC. 🔥 Every academic journey brings new beginnings, new friendships and opportunities to discover something beyond the classroom. From Sunday, 25th to Saturday, 31st October 2026, the 64th University of Cape Coast Students' Representative Council (UCC SRC), under the Nyame Tease Led Administration, presents VITA NOVA 2026, a week-long celebration of student life, creativity, wellness, culture and community. Inspired by the idea of a fresh beginning, Vita Nova welcomes students into another chapter of university life through seven days of experiences that reflect the different sides of the UCC community. SEVEN DAYS. SEVEN EXPERIENCES. ONE UNIVERSITY. From spiritual reflection and personal development to health awareness, cultural expression and entertainment, each day introduces something different. Official Programme of Activities SUNDAY, 25TH OCTOBER: AKWAABA PRAISE & MINI LAUNCHING The celebration begins with Akwaaba Praise and the official mini launching of Vita Nova 2026, opening the week with a moment of togetherness, gratitude and a warm welcome to the university community. MONDAY, 26TH OCTOBER: START RIGHT CONFERENCE A day dedicated to personal development, direction and preparing students for the opportunities and responsibilities of university life. TUESDAY, 27TH OCTOBER: PINK TUESDAY The UCC community embraces the Pink Tuesday theme, bringing students together through a shared campus activity. WEDNESDAY, 28TH OCTOBER: HEALTH SCREENING, BLOOD DONATION & NHIS REGISTRATION Health and community well-being take center stage with a dedicated day for health screening, blood donation and National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration. THURSDAY, 29TH OCTOBER: INTERHALL COOKING COMPETITION UCC's halls come together for a cooking competition celebrating culinary creativity, teamwork and friendly interhall rivalry. FRIDAY, 30TH OCTOBER: AKWAABA IN AFRICAN PRINT & MOVIE PREMIERE SHOW A celebration of African fashion and cultural identity, followed by a movie premiere experience for the student community. SATURDAY, 31ST OCTOBER: AEROBICS, FRESHERS FUFU PARTY, E-GAMES & ARTISTE NIGHT The final day brings together fitness, food, gaming and entertainment. Students can participate in aerobics, enjoy the Freshers Fufu Party, engage in E-Games and celebrate the conclusion of the week with Artiste Night. MORE THAN A FRESHERS' CELEBRATION. Vita Nova represents the experiences that make university life memorable: the people we meet, the traditions we share, the opportunities we discover and the moments that bring the student community together. Under the theme of a new beginning, the 64th UCC SRC creates an opportunity for both freshers and continuing students to connect through activities that extend beyond academic life. VITA NOVA 2026.
