It is a rhythm, a movement and a cultural powerhouse that continues to shape the sound of South African music. From the underground dance floors of the townships to international festival stages, Jozi has given the world a musical identity that connects generations, inspires creativity and celebrates the spirit of its people. On Sunday, 20th December 2026, MADE IN JOZI FESTIVAL returns with a remarkable lineup of South African artists, DJs and producers at Casalinga, Muldersdrift, Johannesburg. Bringing together some of the country's most recognizable names in Amapiano, Afro House, Gqom and Deep House, the festival celebrates the music, culture and energy that make Johannesburg unforgettable. THE SOUND OF JOZI: A LINEUP OF SOUTH AFRICAN HEAVYWEIGHTS KABZA DE SMALL: THE KING OF AMAPIANO One of the most influential figures in the global Amapiano movement, Kabza De Small brings his distinctive production style and celebrated musical catalogue to Made in Jozi. Known for his soulful melodies, deep log drum arrangements and timeless Amapiano compositions, Kabza has helped define the genre's worldwide success. DLALA THUKZIN: THE AFROTECH POWERHOUSE Dlala Thukzin brings his energetic fusion of Afro Tech, Gqom and electronic dance music to the festival. Recognized for his dynamic performances and distinctive production sound, he represents the constantly evolving character of South African dance music. DJ KENT: THE HOUSE MUSIC LEGEND A respected figure in South African house music, DJ Kent brings years of musical experience, influential productions and recognizable DJ selections to the stage. His performances celebrate the soulful foundations of South African dance culture. OSCAR MBO: THE SOUND OF DEEP HOUSE Known for his refined musical taste, deep house productions and sophisticated approach to DJing, Oscar Mbo adds his signature sound to the festival. His presence brings a deeper, soulful dimension to the Made in Jozi experience. YOUNG STUNNA: THE VOICE OF THE NEW GENERATION Young Stunna has become one of Amapiano's recognizable vocalists, celebrated for his melodic delivery, energetic performances and popular collaborations. His music connects the genre's rhythm with the expressive storytelling of contemporary South African youth culture. SUN-EL MUSICIAN: AFRICAN ELECTRONIC SOUL Sun-El Musician brings his distinctive blend of Afro House, melodic electronic music and soulful African influences to the lineup. Known for creating atmospheric productions that combine emotion with dance rhythms, he represents the artistic depth of South African electronic music. ZEE NXUMALO: THE RISING VOICE OF SOUTH AFRICAN MUSIC Zee Nxumalo adds her captivating vocals, youthful energy and contemporary musical identity to the festival. DISTRUCTION BOYZ: THE ENERGY OF GQOM The acclaimed production duo Distruction Boyz brings the unmistakable sound of Durban's Gqom movement to Johannesburg. Their rhythmic productions and energetic musical style introduce another dimension to the festival's diverse soundtrack. DWSON: THE DEEP HOUSE EXPERIENCE Dwson contributes his signature approach to deep and soulful electronic music, bringing melodic arrangements, atmospheric sounds and refined musical selections to the experience. MDU AKA TRP: THE AMAPIANO PIONEER Recognized for his significant contribution to the development of Amapiano, Mdu aka TRP represents the genre's innovative production culture. FROM SOUTH AFRICA TO NORTH AMERICA. THE MAJOR LEAGUE MOVEMENT CONTINUES! 🌍🔥 Two brothers. One musical vision. A sound that has crossed continents and transformed dance floors around the world. From the heart of South Africa's Amapiano movement to some of the world's biggest music festivals, MAJOR LEAGUE DJZ have become influential ambassadors of African electronic music. This October and November, the internationally celebrated DJ and production duo embarks on the MAJOR NORTH AMERICA TOUR 2026, bringing their unique fusion of Amapiano, Afro House and African dance culture to audiences across the United States and Canada. Beginning on 29th October in Edmonton, Canada, and concluding on 14th November in Seattle, USA, the tour features seven announced dates across two countries. THE TWINS BEHIND THE SOUND Bandile and Banele Mbere, professionally known as Major League DJz, have spent years building a musical identity rooted in South African culture. Beginning with their involvement in New Age Kwaito and urban music, the duo evolved into internationally recognized figures in Amapiano and Afro House. Their work has helped introduce African dance music to wider audiences, combining the melodic richness of South African electronic sounds with rhythmic percussion, deep basslines and carefully crafted DJ selections. Through performances, collaborations and music productions, Major League DJz have contributed to the international growth of African dance culture. FROM BALCONY MIX AFRICA TO THE WORLD One of the duo's most recognizable contributions to African electronic music is Balcony Mix Africa, a music series that evolved into a platform for showcasing African DJs, producers and musical creativity. The series combines long-form DJ performances with distinctive settings, creating experiences that have reached audiences far beyond South Africa. Their international journey has included appearances at major festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury and Tomorrowland, alongside performances at established clubs and music destinations. BOSTON, USA, 6TH NOVEMBER The tour continues at The Grand Boston, bringing the duo's Afro House sound to the city's Seaport nightlife scene. MIAMI, USA, 7TH NOVEMBER The promotional tour schedule announces a Miami appearance at Casa Neos, a waterfront dining and entertainment destination.
